Senior Capstone: Impasto Artisan Market

Branding Research Design Social Media Event Marketing

Curating an artist convention that meaningfully brings together craft supply vendors and community-centered programming requires a thoughtful balance of commerce, education, and connection. This
project focuses on sourcing high-quality, handmade materials specifically tailored for artisans, ensuring that creators have access to unique tools and supplies that elevate their work. Beyond the marketplace itself, the convention is designed as an inclusive gathering space where artists with shared interests can come together, exchange ideas, and build lasting relationships.

Impasto Artisan Market was developed as a response to the challenges faced by artists in regions where access to specialized or high-quality art supplies is limited. By bringing together independent makers, material producers, and creatives under one roof, the market creates a centralized hub that supports both the production and appreciation of art. Attendees are able to explore and purchase thoughtfully crafted materials, engage directly with the artisans who produce them, and gain insight into the processes behind their creation.

In addition to its role as a marketplace, the event prioritizes community-building through a robust lineup of programming. Curated keynote speakers share their experiences and perspectives on sustaining a creative practice, while panel discussions foster dialogue around contemporary issues in art and design. Interactive workshops provide participants with the opportunity to experiment with new techniques and mediums in a supportive, collaborative environment.
