My name is Shelby Thompson and I am a senior at Montana State University pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design. Originally from Eagle River, Alaska, I draw inspiration from the natural landscapes that have shaped my creative perspective. Though I was initially encouraged to pursue STEM, I discovered my passion for design and have since fully embraced it.
Through my studies, I have developed strong technical skills alongside a broader creative and strategic perspective. I focus on marketing tactics and enjoy combining creative thinking with purposeful design to communicate effectively. I bring value not only through generating marketing ideas, but also through the ability to design and execute them, creating cohesive and impactful visual solutions.

Managed and updated website content through Shopify, processed and fulfilled customer orders, and maintained social media platforms to support marketing. Developed in-depth knowledge of represented artists and assisted clients with artwork selection and sales in a gallery setting.
Italy Art Program Study Abroad

Completed a three-month study abroad program in Italy, traveling to multiple regions while studying art history, textiles, and ceramics. Gained hands-on exposure to historical craftsmanship, cultural design influences, and traditional artistic methods.
